Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a reliable production worker in Cass City, MI to operate the separator process and maximize production while upholding product quality and safety standards.

You will follow defined processing parameters, document quality checks, and perform CIP and cleaning as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires teamwork, accurate record-keeping, and strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate separator process to maximize production while ensuring quality and safety.
• Maintain defined processing parameters and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and document processes, including quality checks, and implement changes as needed.
• Perform CIP and manual cleaning on related equipment when required.
• Support housekeeping and Master Sanitation schedule tasks as necessary.
• Report food safety/quality issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Operate the separator process in an efficient manner to maximize production while maintaining product quality and safety.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the defined processing parameters to achieve optimum efficiencies while minimizing downtime
• Monitor and document processes to include quality checks, while administering changes when needed
• Perform CIP as needed on all related equipment. Perform manual cleaning as necessary
• Perform general housekeeping and Master Sanitation schedule task as necessary
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
