Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks an experienced SEO Strategist (Roofing) to own search for a portfolio of roofing clients across multiple markets. You will steer the technical roadmap, set content priorities, and decide the ranking narrative in collaboration with writers and AI tools.

You will drive technical SEO, local and multi-location SEO, and reporting in GA4 and Search Console. Strong English communication with US clients is essential for live calls and strategy discussions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SEO experience with audits and fixes.
• Fluent English; comfortable on live calls with US clients.
• Experience with multi-location / roofing or similar verticals is a plus.
• Agency experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO for roofing clients, including crawl, indexation, speed, schema and site architecture.
• Define keyword strategy and on-page optimization; coordinate with writers and AI.
• Improve visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and traditional organic results.
• Lead local and multi-location SEO efforts where needed for clients.
• Provide GA4 and Search Console reporting and quarterly client roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Strategist, Roofing you own search for a book of roofing clients (roofing contractors operating across several markets): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for roofing or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.
