Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Strategist with roofing focus to own search strategy for a portfolio of roofing clients across multiple markets. You will steer technical SEO roadmap, content priorities, and ranking narratives in conversations with clients and internal teams.

Qualified candidates bring 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, fluency in English for US clients, and proficiency with GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes performed by you.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience handling multiple clients concurrently.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for roofing or multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO for a book of roofing clients, including roadmap.
• Define keyword strategy and content priorities with writers/AI.
• Improve visibility in AI search and traditional organic results.
• Manage local search and multi-location SEO where needed.
• Report in GA4 and Search Console; shape quarterly client roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Strategist, Roofing you own search for a book of roofing clients (roofing contractors operating across several markets): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
