Job summary

A leading agency is looking for an SEO Strategist focused on driving traffic and generating qualified leads through integrated SEO strategies. As part of the Integrated Marketing Team, you'll collaborate closely to enhance clients’ online presence. Description

OuterBox is seeking a talented SEO Strategist to create and execute integrated search engine optimization strategies that improve relevant traffic, search engine rankings, and ultimately drive qualified leads (and/or sales) for their clients. This individual is a part of the Integrated Marketing Team and works closely with the Paid Search team and Team Lead towards unified goals.   1. Plan, develop, and execute advanced SEO strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring top-tier results within the budget and timeframe.
  2. Measure and report on SEO performance, including traffic, rankings, conversions, and trends, to clients via email, calls, and meetings.
  3. Collaborate with your team and cross-departmentally on digital marketing strategies aligned with client business goals.
  4. Understand client priorities and translate them into effective SEO strategies to generate qualified leads and sales.
  5. Conduct competitor analysis to identify industry trends and improvement opportunities.
  6. Develop, implement, and monitor budgets for resource allocation, managing surpluses and overages.
  7. Meet timelines, communicate effectively, and deliver results to support team and company retention goals.
  8. Build trust and confidence with clients through strong communication, both verbal and written.
  9. Enhance your business acumen by exploring industry trends and using insights for innovative strategies.
  10. Report on individual and portfolio performance metrics weekly or monthly, aligning with company goals.
  11. Plan strategically and collaborate across teams to manage scope, workload, budgets, and priorities.
  12. Stay updated on digital marketing trends, including Google algorithm updates, and participate in ongoing training.
  13. Utilize SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Brightedge, and others to optimize strategies and evaluate effectiveness.
  14. Work flexibly in a dynamic environment, demonstrating creativity, motivation, organization, and independence.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: The role may require working outside regular hours in a fast-paced environment.

Remote Work & Travel

This is a remote position with limited travel, requiring dedication, self-drive, and accountability.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in creating and executing SEO strategies.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Understanding of search intent and consumer journey.
  • Experience working with Essentials-level clients.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects with urgency.
  • Basic understanding of conversion optimization.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet functions and data analysis.
  • Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console, and SEO software.
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and CMS experience (WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
  • Experience with large, national websites (>1,000 pages).
  • Ability to troubleshoot SEO issues with development teams.
  • Consultative and analytical background, preferably from agency or freelance work.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting at a desk, using a computer.
  • Light physical activity, such as equipment setup.
  • High mental focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
