Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager, Remote (Canada, South Africa or USA) to own search strategies for urgent care clients with multi-location sites. You will drive the technical roadmap, content priorities and ranking narratives, coordinating with writers and AI tools.

You will report on GA4 and Search Console, manage audits, and guide the team on local and multi-location SEO initiatives, delivering measurable results for diverse US clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO; you have run audits and fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Urgent Care you own search for a book of urgent care clients (urgent care groups running many sites): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring
