Blacksmith Agency is a remote, US-facing SEO Manager role focused on urgent care clients. You’ll own the technical roadmap, content priorities, and the ranking story, collaborating with writers and AI to move sites up in traditional and AI-powered search.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in SEO, agency experience across multiple clients, and fluent English for live calls with US-based clients. Remote work is supported across eligible regions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SEO experience.
• Proficient with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Experience managing multiple clients in an agency.
• Excellent spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for multi-location or urgent care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO roadmaps, audits, and fixes for urgent care clients.
• Develop keyword strategy and content priorities with writers/AI.
• Improve visibility in AI search alongside traditional results.
• Lead local and multi-location SEO efforts for multi-site clients.
• Provide GA4 and Search Console reporting with quarterly roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Urgent Care you own search for a book of urgent care clients (urgent care groups running many sites): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for urgent care or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.
