Job summary

University of Richmond is seeking a Digital Content Assistant to update and evolve content on prospective student-facing webpages. The role focuses on SEO, GEO, and accessibility, improving page descriptions and fixing HTML errors to enhance readability and rank.

You will work with a CMS, learn accessibility tools, and contribute blog content to support digital marketing efforts. The position emphasizes reliability, collaboration, and deadline-driven work on campus with some remote options.

Qualifications

• Strong grammar, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Prior experience using a Content Management System (CMS), such as Squarespace or Wordpress, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with editing webpages in Cascade, our enterprise Content Management System (CMS).
• Learn Siteimprove, our web accessibility and quality assurance platform. Become familiar with SEO, GEO, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Write original content for AI in mind, and research new opportunities as this technology evolves.Learn to use Basecamp, our project management tool for keeping track of assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
