The Basics:
️ This role is ideal for experienced writers or editors with B2B tech backgrounds who possesses strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
You will be responsible for ensuring editorial quality across all client content, including briefs, drafts, and final content, with a focus on maintaining an accurate representation of each client's products, services, and unique positioning.
️ You have the technical acumen to understand complex B2B SaaS products, ensuring content accurately reflects their functionality, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
Experience working with, and refining, AI-generated content.
You have strong project and time management skills, are highly organized, and are able to maintain editorial workflows efficiently.
This role will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that all content briefs, content drafts, and final deliverables meet expectations.
Salary range: $75k-$85k base salary DOE, plus home internet, coworking space, and necessary office equipment.
End of Year Bonus: $6k-$8k DOE and achieving goals.
️ $40/month stipend for coffee and snacks.

- This role is ideal for an experienced writer or editor with a B2B tech background who possesses strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
- You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that all content briefs, content drafts, and final deliverables meet expectations.

Your Background & Skill Set:
- You are an experienced B2B writer and editor with a strong background in content editing, content strategy, and product positioning for B2B SaaS and developer tooling. You can break down technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging while maintaining precision and depth.
- You know how to read content through the lens of B2B SaaS product marketing, evaluating how accurately and persuasively the product is represented based on positioning, differentiators, and messaging.
- You understand the nuances of CTA placement, content tone, and audience knowledge level, and can confidently edit for conversion without sounding pushy or robotic.
- You can look at a content brief and a final draft and quickly assess alignment with product strategy, brand voice, and search intent, and you know how to fix what’s off.
- You have the technical acumen to understand complex B2B SaaS products, ensuring content accurately reflects their functionality, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, APIs, AI/ML technologies, and data infrastructure is essential. You can interpret technical documentation, understand integration workflows, and ensure content speaks to technical buyers, including engineers, product managers, and data teams.
- You have a strong foundational understanding of SEO beyond just keyword research. You’re comfortable working within search frameworks and know how to edit for intent, internal linking strategy, on-page SEO, and CTA optimization.
- You’re fluent in tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console, and can QA work against them to validate impact.
- Agency experience is a plus, but in-house experience with a content-heavy SaaS company is also valuable.
- You are deadline-conscious, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with freelancers, customers, and internal teams on content quality and strategy.
- You have strong project and time management skills, are highly organized, and are able to maintain editorial workflows efficiently.
- You do not take on an "it depends" mentality—you're able to assess content quality quickly and objectively while giving actionable feedback.
- You have worked with AI-generated content and have refined workflows to improve editorial efficiency and quality when using AI.
- You are comfortable with content audits, reviewing implementation accuracy for published client content to ensure alignment with strategy.
- You have strong writing and editing skills and can quickly determine whether content meets a brief’s requirements.
- Notion experience is a major plus. We run on it.
The Role:
- You will be responsible for ensuring editorial quality across all client content, including briefs, drafts, and final content, with a focus on maintaining an accurate representation of each client's products, services, and unique positioning.
- You will establish a feedback loop with internal teams and freelancers to refine human- and AI-generated content and content briefs.
- You will work with a portfolio of clients to align content with business goals and ensure quality before publishing.
- You will run implementation audits of published content to flag inconsistencies, improve execution, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- You will work closely with internal account managers and SEO strategists to ensure that editorial quality aligns with SEO best practices.
- You will support process improvements that reduce the need for contract editing and improve overall content quality.
- You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance content structure, clarity, and effectiveness.
- You will collaborate with freelancers and AI-assisted writing tools to refine workflows and improve content scalability.
- You will maintain cross-team access to editorial documentation, style guides, and processes to ensure consistency across all client deliverables.
- You will stay up-to-date with industry best practices in B2B SaaS content marketing and SEO.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in content editing, editorial management, or content strategy with SaaS clients.
- Experience editing SEO-driven, B2B SaaS content topics, including developer tooling, APIs, AI/ML technologies, and data infrastructure.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly identify content weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Keen ability to understand and distill complex B2B SaaS products and services into clear, compelling messaging across briefs and content.
- Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console.
- Experience working with AI-generated content.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review content performance and suggest optimizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using Notion, Ahrefs, Google Docs, and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently, communicate with efficiency and precision, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
