Qualifications

• SEO experience at a publisher/brand or newsroom
• Strong on-page SEO and ability to identify optimization opportunities
• Understanding of how content structure and entities affect visibility
• Familiarity with AI/LLM citations and AI visibility metrics
• Experience optimizing breaking news and evergreen content
• Ability to translate analytics into actionable recommendations

Responsibilities

• Optimize content for SEO and AEO across written and video
• Identify optimization opportunities in headlines, metadata and structure
• Research how content surfaces in search, AI Overviews and LLMs
• Conduct keyword and trend analyses to find content opportunities
• Provide SEO/AEO recommendations to editorial teams
• Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet KPIs
• Educate teams on evolving SEO/AEO best practices
