Roles and Responsibilities

A highly skilled Senior Earned Value Management (EVM) analyst who supports SDS programs by using EVM principles to analyze, track, and report on project performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

EVM Analysis and Reporting
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to project costs, schedules, and performance.
  • Prepares and presents comprehensive EVM reports to stakeholders, including variance analysis and forecasts.
  • Identifies potential cost and schedule risks, issues, and recommends corrective actions.
Compliance and Best Practices
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/EIA‑748, EVMS) and company procedures.
  • Maintains the integrity of the EVMS and ensures its proper implementation.
  • Provides guidance and training to project teams on EVM principles and best practices.
Budget and Financial Planning
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of programmatic budgets and financial plans.
  • Participates in financial auditing and assessment of completed projects.
  • Collaborates with program management, business management, scheduling, and technical teams.
  • Manages subcontractor compliance with EVM requirements, integrating subcontract data into the prime contractor’s EVMS and analyzing performance metrics to identify and address potential issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master’s degree; or 12 years of related experience may be accepted with a high school diploma in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) or financial/program analysis.
  • Experience supporting DoD contracts and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Experience with ANSI/EIA‑748 EVMS guidelines and government reporting requirements.
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other EVM tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance (investigation within the past 6 years).
  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis, or Program Scheduling.
  • Three or more years’ experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and applying Earned Value techniques in an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Experience with EVMS software (e.g., SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, MPM, Acumen One IWO, Primavera P6).
  • Experience supporting contracts with EVMS requirements.
  • Experience managing and analyzing project costs using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, VBA, and macros).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80, allowing employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. A competitive relocation assistance package may be offered.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 – $152,200.00. The above range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers.
