Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sentinel Segment Risk Manager 2 in Roy, UT to lead risk, issue and opportunity management across the program lifecycle. The role guides project managers, analyzes data, and coordinates with line and client leadership to ensure timely mitigation and capture activities.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional teams in a high-stakes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; master’s with 6+ years or +4 years experience in lieu of degree.
• PM certificate is a plus (PMP) and risk/opportunity certs are desirable.
• Experience with large-scale hardware programs and DoD customers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of Risk and Opportunity Management across the life cycle for the supported organization.
• Provide programmatic assessments and data-driven recommendations to Segment leads.
• Lead a team of project managers to monitor mitigation and capture plans.

This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Drives Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) ownership, status, closure, and compliance. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
