Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah, seeks a Field Engineering Services Manager 2 to lead deployment of the Sentinel weapon system and oversee site readiness. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, planning upgrades, and providing customer training. Active DoD Secret clearance and 8+ years related experience (or 6+ with a Master's) are expected.

Relocation assistance may be available; travel up to 10% is required. This is a full-time, in-country position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related work experience; or Master's with 6 years.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain SAP approval.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager.
  • Experience with ICBMs/Missile Maintenance.
  • Experience deploying and fielding complex weapon systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy Sentinel weapon system and support site buildup, installation, and testing.
  • Plan, design, and develop schedules and procedures for upgrade projects at sites.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and recommend action per specs.
  • Provide on-site training and brief customers, vendors, and company reps.
  • Coordinate with IPTs, Design, CM, SE, and Technical Publications teams.
  • Plan deployment installation and ensure readiness of weapon system equipment.

This position is located in Roy, Utah.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You’ll Get To Do:The successful candidate for this position will perform the duties for deployment of the Sentinel weapon system. The successful candidate will assist in site buildup, system emplacement and modification of existing and new Test and Training Sites. They will research, plan, design and develop schedules, procedures and material for upgrade projects to include electrical and electronic equipment, power systems components for the Sentinel Weapon System.Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
