Job summary

Actalent is seeking an engineer to support design engineering, manufacturing, and customer technical services by planning, executing, and analyzing tests that verify component and system functionality and reliability. You will lead qualification and failure analysis for sensors used in security and measurement applications, driving improvements in performance and manufacturability.

The role spans the full product lifecycle from new product introduction to production support, requiring hands-on

Qualifications

Experience in electrical or electronics engineering to support design activities and testing.
Hands-on validation and testing of components and systems.
Experience supporting design engineering, manufacturing and customer technical services.
Supply chain exposure related to production materials or processes.
Strong documentation of test plans and results.
Excellent written and verbal communication adaptable to audiences.
Understanding of full product lifecycle from concept to field support.
Experience using FMEA for risk assessment.
Proven problem-solving abilities and follow-through.
Ability to plan roadmaps, track progress and report status.
Maintain high quality under schedule pressure.
Build cross-functional relationships and influence without authority.
Ability to clearly explain reasoning and decisions.

Responsibilities

Support design engineering in test development and execution for validation.
Plan and execute DV/Validation activities for new products and changes.
Collaborate with Manufacturing to qualify production materials and methods.
Support Customer Technical Services with verification tests in the field.
Lead qualification, testing, and failure analysis of sensors and subassemblies.
Perform hands-on testing to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Propose action plans to increase efficiency, quality and yield.
Prepare detailed technical documentation including test reports and change proposals.
Evaluate risks using FMEA and incorporate into verification strategies.
Maintain a project roadmap and report progress to stakeholders.
Use formal project management tools to organize work and coordinate tasks.
Build strong relationships across levels and influence outcomes.
Communicate needs, challenges, and solutions at appropriate technical depth.
Capture lessons learned and implement preventive improvements.
