Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Diego seeks a senior sensor engineer to scope and advance sensor technology, lead proof-of-concept investigations, and collaborate across disciplines.

You will define product concepts through market analysis, mentor engineers, and oversee end-to-end sensor, PCB and ASIC design, validation, and risk tracking.

The role offers base pay within the stated range, extensive benefits, and relocation support; travel may be required to support product development.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with failure mode analysis and root cause diagnosis.
Experience in sensor design, prototyping, and system integration.
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, SPICE, COMSOL or similar tools.
Knowledge of sensor physics, analog analysis, and statistics.

Responsibilities

Scope sensor technology and proof-of-concept investigations.
Define product concepts through market surveys and competitive analysis.
Collaborate across disciplines to evaluate system design options and trade-offs.
Oversee end-to-end sensor, PCB and ASIC design, validation and risk management.
Perform statistical data analysis and data mining to inform decisions.
Travel as needed to support product development.
