Job summary

Apple Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a senior inertial sensing systems engineer to define roadmaps, specifications, and verification methodologies for consumer devices such as iPhone, iPad, Watch, Vision Pro, and more.

You will engage with external vendors and internal customers, drive sensor design, validate performance, and communicate status and risks to leadership; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience in architecture, design, characterization, and validation of inertial sensing systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Scoping new sensing technologies and proof-of-concept investigations.
• Interacting with suppliers and drive sensor designs to enable new and improved user experience.
• Diagnose engineering issues with scientific method driving to definitive root cause.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clearly communicate technical status, risks and mitigation strategies for sensor projects.
