Job summary

Motional seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Sensors, to lead supplier strategy for radar and camera hardware in Pittsburgh. You will partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Supplier Quality to meet program milestones and cost targets.

Two in-office days per week in Pittsburgh are required in this hybrid role. You will influence pricing, terms, and supplier choices as Motional scales autonomous vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct procurement experience in automotive OEM/T1 or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience leading global supplier bases across multiple locations.
• Ability to lead strategic sourcing, vendor development/management, RFX events, and long-term hardware supply negotiations.
• Knowledge of Automotive APQP, Source-to-Pay and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sourcing strategy for sensor hardware (Radar and Cameras) to meet product needs.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships as primary commercial contact.
• Align supplier roadmaps with commodity strategy across Engineering, PM, and Supplier Quality.
• Collaborate with Hyundai counterparts on co-sourcing for hardware.
• Track BOM costs as programs move toward serial production.
• Advise on component cost, savings opportunities, and VA/VE initiatives.
• Resolve commercial terms and supply chain issues with escalation as needed.
