Job summary

LeoLabs is hiring an R&D Procurement Specialist in a full-time hybrid role based in Menlo Park, CA. You will procure technical components and services to support rapid development and deployment of LeoLabs' radar and sensing technology.

You will translate engineering requirements into actionable sourcing plans and manage supplier performance across complex hardware programs. The role sits at the center of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, requiring strong negotiation, risk

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Personnel Security Clearance.
5+ years in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain in technical hardware or R&D environments.
Experience procuring specialized technical components, electronics, RF/radar hardware, test equipment, or engineering services.
Ability to manage competing procurement priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
Experience soliciting quotes, evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating pricing and lead times, and issuing purchase orders.
Proficiency with ERP, procurement, and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

Procure technical components, materials, equipment, and services for R&D, prototype, testing, and manufacturing.
Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Finance to translate requirements into sourcing plans.
Identify and manage suppliers for hardware, electronics, RF/radar, and technology development.
Solicit quotations, negotiate pricing, and issue POs aligned with needs and approvals.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, costs, and procurement risks; escalate constraints.
Support long-lead material planning, alternate sourcing, and risk mitigation for prototypes.
