Job summary

Apex is seeking a Sensor Engineer to own our sensor products from concept through qualification and production. This role sits at the intersection of design, analysis, test, and production, and you will drive trade studies balancing performance, cost, and risk, lead verification campaigns, and investigate failures to sharpen future designs.

You will collaborate with structures, thermal, optics, avionics, software, and manufacturing teams to develop integrated sensor solutions, present at design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing or testing multidisciplinary systems.
• Hardware ownership experience.
• Strong test engineering fundamentals.
• Leadership and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Open design space for subsystem architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own sensor products through full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Lead verification, validation, and qualification campaigns.
• Develop test plans and maintain test stations and GSE/STE.
• Perform trade studies to optimize architecture, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and present at design reviews.
