Job summary

Apex is seeking a Sensor Systems Engineer to own our sensor products across the full development lifecycle, from concept to qualification and production. You will lead design, analysis, and testing, acting as the technical authority for sensor architecture and performance in real-world conditions.

You will collaborate across structures, thermal, optics, avionics, software, GNC, manufacturing, and supply chain to optimize sensor solutions, drive trade studies, and ensure robust documentation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or physics field.
• Hands-on experience developing, prototyping, integrating, and/or testing multidisciplinary systems.
• Demonstrated hardware, project, or product ownership experience.
• Strong test engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
• Leadership, time management, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own sensor products through the full development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Support production as hardware REA, providing technical solutions and documentation.
• Manage project budget, schedule, and tasking within a multidisciplinary team.
• Own verification and validation activities for sensor subsystems requirements.
• Develop and execute qualification and test campaigns with cross-functional teams.
