Job summary

Apex is seeking an Electro-Optical Engineer to own sensor products from concept to production, at the intersection of design, analysis, test, and production. You’ll drive trade studies balancing performance, cost, and risk, lead verification and qualification campaigns, and close the loop with failure investigations to sharpen future designs.

This role requires coordinating with structures, thermal, optics, avionics, software, GNC, manufacturing, mission assurance, and supply chain to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience prototyping and testing multidisciplinary systems.
• Hardware/product ownership experience.
• Strong test engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
• Proven leadership and time management skills.
• Willingness to research and design in an open space.

Responsibilities

• Own sensor products through full lifecycle.
• Lead verification, validation, and test campaigns.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to develop integrated sensor solutions.
• Present work at design reviews and document engineering work.
