Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Sensor Development Engineer to lead the development of speed and position sensing products from concept to production launch. You will act as the technical leader across programs, translating customer needs into robust sensing solutions by integrating magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes.

Collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams will ensure products meet performance, quality, timing, and cost

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with VR sensors, Hall-effect sensors, MR sensors, rotary position sensors, and linear position sensors.
• Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
• This is not a designer role; responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
• Must know automotive product development processes (APQP/DFMEA/PPAP).

Job description: The Sensor Development Engineer is responsible for leading the development of speed and position sensing products from concept through production launch. Serves as the technical leader for assigned programs, translating customer requirements into robust sensing solutions through the integration of magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, mechanical packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes. Collaborates with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance, quality, timing, and business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hands on experience with one or more of the following sensing technologies:
  • Variable Reluctance (VR) sensors
  • Hall-effect sensors
  • Mangetoresistive (MR) sensors
  • Rotary position sensors
  • Linear position sensor
• Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
• This is not a designer role. The individual will be responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
• Must know automotive product development processes.
• APQP/DFMEA/PPAP etc.
