Job summary

FNTS is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Senior Engineer to join our managed services team. You will maintain and optimize z/OS environments, plan migrations, and troubleshoot complex issues across CICS, IMS, DB2, and MQ.

You'll work remotely from the United States, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary group, documenting configurations and contributing to strategic roadmaps. A strong track record and 10+ years’ mainframe experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as a Mainframe Systems Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS concepts, JES2, SDSF, TSO, RACF, HCD/IODF, SMP/E.
• Experience with CICS, IMS, DB2 and MQ Series.
• Experience in planning migrations and tape save/restore or replication.
• Ability to write and maintain system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform reporting functions as required by the customer.
• Support cases and incidents not solvable by Ops.
• Install, maintain and configure ISV products.
• Assist with hardware configuration and upgrades.
• Work on migration projects with minimal impact.
• Write and maintain system documentation.
