Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support z/OS environments for enterprise clients. You will work across IBM mainframe hardware, z/OS software, and ISV products, performing capacity planning, disaster recovery, and 24x7 support.

The role demands strong problem solving and deep knowledge of JES2/JES3, SMF, SMP/E, and ISPF/TSO. If you enjoy complex mainframe challenges, this position offers growth within a global technology services leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
10+ years of IT experience.
8+ years of development experience.
Experience with mainframe systems and z/OS.
Eight+ years of system programming experience including dump analysis, SMP/E, SMF, USS, Omegamon, MVS/JES exits.
Knowledge of z/OS internals in JES2 or JES3 environments.
Experience planning, testing and supporting ISV products (CA Technologies, BMC, SAS, IBM).
Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to overtime.

Responsibilities

Design, operate, and maintain enterprise servers including IBM mainframe systems and hybrid/cloud environments.
Design and maintain complex infrastructure solutions supporting internal client needs.
Configure secure virtualized environments and monitor resources for capacity planning.
Install, customize, test, and support ISV products with IBM products.
Provide Level 1–3 customer support for software and hardware issues.
Participate in 24x7 rotational support and disaster recovery planning.
