Job summary

Fairfax County is hiring to lead Teen programs at Reston Teen Center. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff and volunteers, and drive inclusive, outcome‑based activities across morning to evening shifts.

The role emphasizes human‑centered design, data‑driven strategies, and collaboration with schools, families, and communities to promote equity and provide diverse programs for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human development, social work, recreation or related field and supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of inclusive program planning and trauma-informed approaches.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating volunteer teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of fulltime, temporary, part‑time, and seasonal staff and volunteers.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs and events to promote inclusive prosperity.
• Ensure programs are accessible and aligned with county goals and initiatives.
• Manage daily facility operations and oversee safety and maintenance.
• Participate in hiring, training, and scheduling of staff.
• Prepare and submit required financial, data, and statistical reports.
