Job summary

Qualifications

• 30 months of experience coaching, personal training, and/or fitness instruction or 30 months of directing work with incarcerated persons and training/development.
• Associate degree in recreation with 12 months experience in activity therapy or recreation.
• Undergraduate core program in recreation with 6 months experience in activity therapy or recreation.
• General Activities Therapist 1, 44211, six months experience or equivalent employment qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and conduct activity therapy programs for youth in residential treatment units.
• Organize individual and group recreational activities (sports, arts, music, fitness, community service).
• Develop and coordinate activity therapy plans; participate in treatment team meetings and prepare progress notes.
