Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior Yield Accountant to maintain production accounting records, analyze material usage and yields, and reconcile physical inventory to system data.

You will ensure financial reporting reflects operational efficiency and cost control in a manufacturing environment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in energy industry preferred.
• Experience with yield accounting software preferred.
• Strong data entry, reconciliation, and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English, oral and written required.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry & Validation using yield accounting software to report daily volume and weight balances accurately.
• Reporting & Analysis of yields with reconciled reports and government reporting.
• Participate in mass balance review to explain discrepancies.
• System Optimization to automate tasks and improve data accuracy (AspenTech).
• Cross-functional collaboration with Corporate and Plant personnel to ensure accurate data.
• Documentation of procedures and exceptions clearly.
• Support hydrocarbon loss control initiatives and other special projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and inventory/cost accounting policies.
