Job summary

GovPlanet, a Ritchie Bros company, is seeking a Senior Yard Staff to securely receive, merchandise and process inventory at government surplus facilities. You may work at RB Global facilities or government locations, enabling efficient asset sales.

You will operate heavy and light equipment, perform inspections, assist in logistics coordination, and support customer interactions while traveling to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Good customer service to both internal and external customers.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Travel up to 80% may be required.
• Lift 80 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• May act as a lead or coordinate assigned activities.
• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) inventory
• Performs joint physical inventories at government locations
• Uses systems to track and process inventory
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs maintenance and heavy repairs on equipment
• Merchandises and inspects items for sale.
• Boosts equipment
• Performs complex demilitarization and deidentification
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Assist in coordinating logistics
• Interacts with customers
• Travels to other locations as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

We are offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for this role.

The Senior Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, uses inventory accountability practices, operates MHE, and facilitates check-out of items. They utilize a heavy mechanical aptitude to complete repairs and maintenance on items. They may perform their duties at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or Government Locations. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff.
