Job summary

Rigaku Americas is seeking a Senior XRF Applications Scientist to lead hands-on XRF applications work in The Woodlands, TX. You will drive pre‑sales demonstrations, method development, and customer training while mentoring other XRF scientists on the team.

The role requires strong XRF expertise, experience with WD‑XRF/ED‑XRF, and the ability to manage multiple projects on site 50% travel. Collaboration with the commercial team is essential to deliver robust analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on XRF experience including method development and calibration.
• Experience with customer-facing applications support and data interpretation.
• Ability to coach and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on execution of XRF applications projects and customer testing.
• Develop and document WD-XRF and ED-XRF methods for diverse samples.
• Provide post-sales support, training, and method commissioning.
• Review results and ensure high quality, rigorous reporting.
• Mentor other XRF team members in fundamentals and workflow.
