Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is looking for a Senior Writer / Editor to oversee content creation for two signature publications in Madison, Wisconsin. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to collaborate with both staff and freelancers to tell compelling stories about the impactful work at UW–Madison. With over 7 years of experience in journalism, you will produce the award-winning On Wisconsin magazine and the WFAA Awards Magazine.

The position entails writing, coordination with freelance contributors, and maintaining timelines on magazine production while ensuring high-quality outcomes that celebrate the university's achievements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in journalism, writing, publishing, communications, or a similar field.
• Expertise with Word and conferencing software like Teams or Zoom.
• Familiarity with multimedia and digital publishing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to produce UW–Madison’s quarterly alumni magazine.
• Develop stories about award recipients for the WFAA Awards Magazine.
• Write for On Wisconsin and other WFAA publications.
