The role collaborates with designers, pattern makers, and manufacturers, reviews samples, and optimizes construction using knowledge of yarns and knitting techniques. A bachelor’s in fashion/textile design and 5+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion/Textile Design or related field.
• 5+ years as a technical designer with knitwear focus.
• Strong knowledge of woven construction, knitting, yarn properties, and garment fit.
• Proficiency in tech packs and design software (Illustrator/Photoshop).
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and review technical packs for woven designs with specs.
• Conduct fit sessions, analyze samples, provide actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with domestic and international manufacturers.
• Review pre-production and production samples for consistency.
• Utilize yarn, knitting knowledge to optimize production.
• Resolve technical issues with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain records of specs, fit comments, and revisions.
• Work with design team to align creative vision with technical needs.
