Worley is seeking a Senior Workface Planner - Electrical to drive detailed planning for electrical construction activities within our global energy and resources projects. You will coordinate engineering deliverables, procurement, scheduling, and field readiness to deliver on-time, safe, and efficient project execution.

The role emphasizes advanced work packaging, IWPs/CWPs alignment with schedules, and collaboration across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years in industrial construction or related fields.
  • Experience developing and managing IWPs, CWPs, and related planning deliverables.

Responsabilités

  • Develop and implement electrical workface planning strategies to support project goals and productivity.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain IWPs and related planning documentation.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, materials management, construction, and project controls for work package readiness.
  • Verify drawings, materials, permits, equipment, and tools are available before field release.
  • Support construction execution by aligning work packages with schedules and milestones.
  • Identify constraints and collaborate on mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans for changing priorities and field conditions.
  • Participate in planning meetings, readiness reviews, and constructability assessments.
  • Support productivity initiatives through effective work packaging and sequencing.
  • Provide guidance to field supervisors, engineering, and project stakeholders.
  • Assist with forecasting labor, material, and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate electrical installation activities and energization planning.
  • Ensure alignment with commissioning priorities and turnover strategies.
  • Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in planning activities.
  • Prepare reports and performance updates for leadership.

Senior Workface Planner - Electrical

Play an integral role in delivering sustainable infrastructure and industrial construction projects that support the world's evolving energy, chemicals, and resources needs. As a Senior Workface Planner - Electrical, you will drive construction readiness, execution efficiency, and workforce productivity by developing and implementing detailed workface planning strategies for electrical construction activities.

Working at the intersection of engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction, you will ensure electrical work packages are complete, executable, and aligned with project schedules and field priorities. Your efforts will directly influence project performance, labor productivity, cost effectiveness, safety outcomes, and successful project delivery.

The Senior Workface Planner - Electrical plays a critical role in this journey by ensuring electrical construction work is thoroughly planned, sequenced, and resourced to support safe, efficient, and predictable project execution.

This role is responsible for coordinating engineering deliverables, material availability, construction schedules, and field requirements to develop detailed Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and construction-ready plans. Through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement, you will help maximize labor productivity, reduce execution risk, and support successful project outcomes.

You will be responsible for
  • Developing and implementing electrical workface planning strategies that support project execution goals and construction productivity targets.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and related construction planning documentation.
  • Coordinating engineering, procurement, materials management, construction, and project controls teams to ensure work package readiness.
  • Verifying that drawings, materials, permits, equipment, tools, and supporting documentation are available before work is released to the field.
  • Supporting construction execution by ensuring work packages align with project schedules, milestones, and workforce requirements.
  • Identifying constraints that could impact field execution and collaborating with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Monitoring project progress and adjusting work plans to address changing priorities, field conditions, and construction requirements.
  • Participating in construction planning meetings, readiness reviews, constructability assessments, and schedule coordination sessions.
  • Supporting productivity improvement initiatives through effective work packaging, sequencing, and resource planning.
  • Providing technical guidance and planning support to field supervisors, construction management, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Assisting with forecasting labor requirements, material needs, equipment utilization, and construction sequencing activities.
  • Coordinating electrical installation activities including cable tray systems, conduit installation, cable pulling and termination, electrical equipment installation, grounding systems, switchgear, motor control centers, substations, and energization planning.
  • Ensuring electrical work packages are aligned with commissioning priorities, turnover strategies, and project execution objectives.
  • Promoting adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout construction planning and execution activities.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, planning metrics, and performance updates for project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and execution strategies.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workface planning processes, systems, and execution effectiveness.

What you'll bring to the role

You are a highly organized construction professional with strong electrical construction knowledge and a passion for planning, coordination, and operational excellence. You understand how effective workface planning improves productivity, reduces risk, and enables successful project delivery.

Key qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of experience in industrial construction, electrical construction, field engineering, project controls, workface planning, or project execution.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing Installation Work Packages (IWPs), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and related construction planning deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, one-line diagrams, cable schedules, electrical specifications, material management processes, and field execution practices.
  • Experience supporting industrial, energy, chemicals, LNG, refinery, petrochemical, mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, power generation, or major capital projects.
  • Solid understanding of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), Installation Work Packages (IWPs), and industry workface planning methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex project information and translate it into executable field work plans.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders including engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, quality, and commissioning teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing related to power systems, electrical equipment installation, testing, energization, and turnover activities.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities with the ability to influence project outcomes.
  • Experience using construction planning systems, scheduling platforms, document management tools, and project execution software.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in complex project environments.
