The Hartford is seeking a Senior Staff Attorney to litigate workers' compensation cases in the North (Hackensack) and Western vicinages. The ideal candidate will have substantial trial experience and the ability to handle cases from inception to trial, with oversight by senior staff attorneys.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, presenting defense strategies, and coordinating with claims teams to secure the best outcomes.

Competenze

• 7+ years of legal practice with complex/admitted/occupational Workers' Compensation cases, including trials and motions.
• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (JD required).
• Trial experience is necessary.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Self-directed and highly organized.

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop well-reasoned research.
• Independently create and present defense strategies for clients.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, trial briefs, and related documents with the legal team.
• Collaborate with Claims Partners to achieve favorable results for Hartford clients/insureds.
