Qualifications

• 7+ years in handling complex workers’ compensation cases, including trials and motions
• JD from an accredited law school and NJ license to practice
• Trial experience is required
• Positive, collaborative team-player attitude
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Self-directed with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with handling claims and litigation processes

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct extensive research
• Independently present defense strategies for clients
• Prepare pleadings and discovery; support defense with trial briefs
• Collaborate with Claims Partners to achieve optimal results
• Communicate with clients, court, witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Prepare witnesses and evidence for trials and hearings
• Lead and participate in team huddles and training
• Attend continuing legal education seminars to maintain expertise
