Job summary

CCMSI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a seasoned Workers’ Compensation Claim Specialist to own a dedicated portfolio of claims, investigate, determine compensability, and guide cases toward timely resolutions.

The role offers growth toward supervisory paths with an 8:00 am-4:30 pm ET schedule, a salary range of $70,000-$90,000, and a comprehensive benefits package. A 10+ year track record and strong negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience.
• Responsiveness to internal and external client needs.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of all lower-level claim position responsibilities.
• Adjuster’s license may be required based on jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and adjust claims per standards and laws.
• Establish reserves and provide reserve recommendations.
• Review and authorize payments; negotiate disputed invoices.
• Negotiate settlements within standards and laws.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients throughout the process.
• Monitor subrogation and compute disability rates where needed.
• Communicate proactively with all parties involved.
