Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist in the West Region. You will review, analyze and process moderately complex to complex claims, negotiate settlements, and manage a claims inventory with bodily injury or property loss.

Onsite twice a month; CA/WA options may enable 100% remote work in some locations. You may be considered as Senior Claims Specialist I or II based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent training) plus 3–5 years directly related work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of claims handling practices, liability, and policy coverage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Engage independent adjusters, experts, and examiners as needed.
• Refer claims to subrogation or SIU when appropriate.
• Set and adjust reserves within authority; negotiate settlements.
• Coordinate litigation activities and attend trials as needed.
• Mentor and train new team members.
