Zusammenfassung

The Hartford is seeking a Staff or Senior Staff Attorney to handle Workers’ Compensation matters in California on a remote basis, with occasional in-person hearings travel within the state. The role requires CA bar admission and several years of complex WC practice, strong research and writing, and proficiency in MS Office and Lexis Nexis.

You will work within a collaborative in-house team, provide strategic legal guidance, and support Hartford insureds while maintaining high professional

Qualifikationen

• JD from accredited law school and CA license.
• 3+ years of legal practice handling complex Workers’ Compensation cases.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Lexis Nexis experience is a plus!
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly leverage new software as required.

Aufgaben

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop well-reasoned strategies.
• Independently prepare pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial briefs with autonomy.
• Collaborate with Claims Partners to optimize outcomes for Hartford insureds.
• Present witnesses and evidence in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and ADRs.
• Attend continuing legal education seminars to maintain expertise.
