Job summary

The Hartford is recruiting for a Staff or Senior Staff Attorney to join our in-house Workers’ Compensation team in California. You will manage your own caseload, conduct depositions, hearings, and draft pleadings with autonomy while collaborating with Claims partners to protect insureds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of legal practice handling complex Workers’ Compensation cases.
• JD from accredited law school and CA license to practice.
• Trial experience is preferred and strong research/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop defense strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial briefs.
• Represent Hartford clients in hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with Claims Partners and provide timely legal advice.
