Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in insurance required.
• 3–5 years' experience handling lost-time workers' compensation claims.
• Familiarity with NC, SC and MS jurisdiction required.
• Associate in Claims (AIC) designation desired.
• Active license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve assigned complex workers' compensation claims with minimal supervision.
• Determine coverage, compensability, and potential for subrogation recovery.
• Alert supervisors to potentially suspect claims and manage reserves appropriately.
• Negotiate settlements with client approval and maintain accurate file documentation.
• Collaborate with PMA nurse professionals on return-to-work strategies.
• Support compliance with jurisdictional requirements and case law.
