Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is hiring for a Workers’ Comp claims professional. You will manage claims, investigate coverage, determine liability and negotiate settlements within authority. Expect on-site four days per week with one remote day; strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

The role requires 5 years of property/casualty claims experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Remote-friendly in several states; base benefits and professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Generally, a minimum of 5 years of property and casualty claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Plans and conducts claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Determines and negotiates appropriate claim settlements/reserves within prescribed authority.
• Conveys information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorizes payments within assigned authority; ensures timely payments.
• Maintains accurate and detailed claim files and correspondence.
• On-site four days a week with one remote day; core in-office days Tue–Thu.
• Hybrid work environment or remote in selected states.
