Job summary

Key Risk (a Berkley Company) is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative III in High Point, NC to analyze and manage complex claims, review coverage, negotiate settlements, and maintain reserves in line with state statutes.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team, with travel under 10%. A BA/BS degree is required and licensing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of workers’ compensation claims management experience.
• BA/BS degree required.
• Adjuster license strongly desired or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel for business (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes workers’ compensation claims, investigates and determines exposure.
• Negotiates settlement of claims up to designated authority level and makes payments.
• Calculates reserves and manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Prepares state filings and manages litigation activities cost-effectively.
• Maintains professional client relationships and coordinates with vendors as needed.
