Job summary

Acrisure is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster who can work remotely with an active California Adjuster license. The role emphasizes thorough investigation, timely claim handling, and regulatory compliance, supporting a dedicated account across the U.S.

market. The candidate should have 5+ years of WC claims experience, CA certification, and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims.
• Current California Adjuster Certification.
• Familiarity with state workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written communications, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of computers and software.

Responsibilities

• Assess coverage and review claims for investigations, action plans, evaluation, fraud, and claim resolution.
• Gather information (reports, policies, releases, statements) for investigations.
• Analyze liability and assess exposure; determine reserves.
• Manage claims from inception to resolution and communicate with supervisor for cases beyond authority.
• Ensure accurate and timely claim payments; comply with state and company procedures.
• Maintain diary tracking progress on all claims.
• Oversee litigation coordination with defense team.
• Determine liability for permanent disability and cost mitigation.
