Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Workday Payroll Implementation Senior Principal Consultant to bridge business and technical teams, guiding transformation, implementation, and operation of Workday payroll solutions. You will act as a product expert, lead design sessions, and ensure cohesive cross-functional execution across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Workday functional implementation experience.
• Workday Payroll implementation experience preferred.
• Led at least two Workday implementations from start to finish with a year of project leadership.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing, prototyping and testing solutions.
• Functional experience in HR, Payroll or Financials Management.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Become a Workday Payroll product expert with design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Partner with client to understand pain points and optimize processes using Workday Payroll.
• Architect cohesive Workday Payroll solutions considering cross-functional impacts.
• Recommend best solutions based on client needs, budget, and timeframe.
• Lead design sessions and configuration decisions guided by best practices.
• Support the client through all project phases and ensure smooth legacy-to-Workday transfer.
• Coordinate with the integration team to test Workday integrations with payroll providers.
