Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Workday Payroll Analyst to lead Workday Payroll, HRIS, and related modules. This role drives configuration, testing, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and Finance to ensure accurate payroll and compliant processes.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years with Workday and strong analytical skills, ready to support system upgrades and new features in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, HR or related field from accredited institution.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years with Workday.
• Proficient in configuring Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Security, and Reporting.
• SOX compliance awareness in HR technology.
• Strong testing leadership and UT/UAT experience.
• Cross-functional knowledge of HR processes in Workday suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for Workday Payroll and related modules (HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Security).
• Configure and maintain payroll-related business processes, codes, pay groups, calculations, validations.
• Support payroll processing activities including audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate calculations and downstream impacts.
• Lead advanced configuration including BPFs, calculated fields, rules, and security policies.
• Own tenant health, configuration consistency, and adherence to Workday best practices.
• Analyze work processes to improve efficiency, quality, and data-driven decisions.
• Coordinate regression testing, feature enablement, and production deployments.
