Senior Workday Integrations Engineer

Job summary

GQR is seeking a hands-on Workday Integrations Developer to design, build, and support integrations that connect Workday with internal and third-party systems. You will own core integrations end to end and collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders.

This role blends deep technical integration work with functional fluency: you’ll understand not just how data moves, but why the business needs it to move that way, and help modernize our integration landscape.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations.
• Strong XML/XSLT skills; XSL 3.0 experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of the Workday data model, Business Process Framework, and integration security.
• Experience with APIs and web services standards (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• Ability to translate requirements into reliable, well-documented integration designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connectors, Web Services (SOAP/REST), RaaS, and Document Transformation.
• Build complex Studio integrations from scratch, including in novel or ambiguous situations.
• Gather requirements from HR, Finance, and technical stakeholders and translate them into integration designs.
• Build calculated fields, custom reports, and matrix reports to support integrations.
• Support and maintain Financials integrations, including Accounting Center integrations and mappings.
• Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and drive fixes to resolution.
• Maintain clear documentation of integration logic, mappings, flows, and deployment procedures.
• Contribute to testing, security, and change management practices that keep integrations resilient.
