Senior Workday (HRIS) Analyst, Time Tracking - New York, NY

The Senior Workday (HRIS) Analyst works within the People Technology team and supports global Western Union for Time Tracking and other modules as needed. Willingness to learn payroll support. This role is responsible for building and maintaining Workday configuration, system administration, using Software Development Lifecycle methodology.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Provide HR system administration, including business process configuration, reporting development, end user training, and data management to maintain Workday as a leading employee experience platform.
  2. Partner with Workday team members, IT, business partners, vendors, and leaders to meet HR technology needs.
  3. Configure complex Workday business processes focusing on Absence, Time Off, Time Tracking, Payroll, and other modules as needed.
  4. Perform administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
  5. Review workflows to ensure optimal use of system features and identify improvements.
  6. Manage Sandbox environments and enforce system standards.
  7. Provide support pre- and post-launch, including change management, issue resolution, testing, and training.
  8. Document system specifications and maintain change management records for audits and compliance.
  9. Understand and apply Workday's Implementation Methodology across projects.
  10. Support feature releases and system changes, defining scope, prioritizing, planning, and implementing.
  11. Maintain functional knowledge of HR systems, fostering community collaboration and support excellence.
  12. Engage with Workday Community, User Groups, and Conferences.
  13. Support business partners to enhance their understanding of Workday.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
  1. At least 2 years of Workday HCM experience; certifications are a plus.
  2. Solid understanding of Time Tracking and Core HCM; willingness to learn payroll and other modules.
  3. Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
  4. Knowledge of Workday business processes, data model, system architecture, interfaces, and reporting.
  5. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  6. Experience with EIBs, testing integrations, and report creation.
  7. Experience in a global company and familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
