Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Workday Configuration professional in the United States (MA focus) to lead configuration design and secure, scalable HR technology solutions. You will own end-to-end Workday configurations, collaborate with Security and Data Management teams, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with release cycles.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Workday configuration experience with ownership of solution design.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business asks into Workday configurations.
• Experience designing security, data management, and integrations in Workday.
• Proven track record in multi-COE environments and cross-module impact assessments.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for team growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with COE stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements and problem space.
• Own solution design including configuration, calculated fields, rules, and reports.
• Configure Workday in production tenant; collaborate with Security and Data Management teams.
• Evaluate trade-offs between out-of-the-box functionality and configuration workarounds.
• Assess cross-module implications and advise leadership on design choices.
• Support release management by evaluating biannual Workday releases.
• Provide architectural input for HR technology initiatives and build vs. buy decisions.
• Maintain auditable configuration documentation and mentor junior teammates.
