Job summary

American Electric Power Co. in Columbus, OH or Tulsa, OK seeks a Workday Product and Configuration Lead to act as a senior functional expert in Workday HCM.

The role designs scalable solutions, partners with HR, and guides the team toward sustainable configurations across Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Payroll and reporting. You will mentor peers, drive complex design decisions, review releases, and ensure strong data integrity.

Qualifications

• Seven years of HRIS, Workday or HR technology experience.
• Five+ years hands-on Workday HCM configuration and application support.
• Experience leading complex solution design with HR stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and data.
• Ability to translate requirements into Workday configurations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior functional and configuration lead for Workday HCM.
• Collaborate with HR process owners to understand problems and outcomes.
• Translate requirements into scalable Workday configurations and reports.
• Lead releases, testing, and post-production evaluation of enhancements.
• Mentor and coach less-experienced HRIS team members.
