Job summary

Medica, a nonprofit health plan serving communities across several states, seeks a Finance Systems Leader to oversee Workday-based processes, close execution, and system enhancements. You will collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and IT to ensure accurate reporting and standardized operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, with a preference for Workday expertise in health payer finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of work experience beyond degree required.
• 5+ years Workday and/or Health Payer Financial Reporting Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads core financial system processes, including general ledger, journal processing, payables, and cash functions.
• Ensures effective financial close execution and data accuracy, managing close calendar and issue resolution.
• Manages system enhancements and integrations, maintaining roadmap and evaluating new Workday features.
• Maintains financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness across financial systems.
• Drives change management and adoption with cross-functional collaboration and testing.
