Job summary

Focus seeks a senior Architect for Workday Financial Systems to lead design, configuration, and governance of the Workday Financials stack in a large enterprise environment. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Technology, and leadership to deliver secure, scalable solutions that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on work configuring and supporting Workday modules, with emphasis on security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, IS, business administration or CS
• 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials
• Workday Pro Certification in Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Prism/Reporting or equivalent
• Extensive hands-on Experience configuring, supporting, and maintaining Workday Financials in a complex enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial operations, internal controls, compliance, and period-close processes
• Experience with Workday security, reporting, data structures, testing, release management, and operational support models
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional architect and design authority for Workday Financials across core modules.
• Lead end-to-end solution design for finance processes aligned with enterprise architecture and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tech stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions.
• Own Workday configuration strategy, standards, and governance—release management included.
• Identify enhancements, optimize processes, and promote feature adoption.
• Provide leadership for testing, data validation, and post-deployment support.
