Senior Workday Developer – fully onsite, San Antonio, TX. Remote/hybrid arrangements will not be considered. Candidates residing outside the San Antonio area must be willing to relocate.
Academic & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred certifications: Workday Integrations, Workday HCM, Workday Studio, and Workday Reporting. Preferred if you hold two or more of these modules. Experience with Workday Extend development and integration with Paradox conversational AI recruiting platform is beneficial.
Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of hands‑on Workday technical experience.
- Extensive experience across multiple Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation.
- Deep knowledge of HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Prism Analytics, Workday Extend, reporting, and integrations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues within the Workday ecosystem.
- Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring junior Workday developers or analysts.
- Experience supporting Workday implementations, upgrades, or major system enhancements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills within Workday environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain technical solutions across the Workday platform.
- Provide hands‑on support for configuration and optimization of key Workday modules including HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, and Compensation.
- Support system configuration changes, enhancements, and ongoing platform optimization.
- Work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical Workday solutions.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of the Workday Business Process Framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and internal or external systems using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, REST and SOAP APIs, and Web services.
- Maintain existing integrations and resolve issues related to integration performance, data mapping, and system connectivity.
- Ensure integration reliability, performance, and scalability within enterprise environments.
- Design and develop advanced Workday reports and dashboards to support HR, Finance, and business operations.
- Build and maintain complex calculated fields and custom reporting solutions.
- Develop enterprise reporting frameworks to support operational and executive decision-making.
- Support advanced analytics and data modeling using Workday Prism Analytics.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Workday integrations, system configuration, reporting, data inconsistencies, and security access.
- Investigate system errors and performance issues and provide timely resolution.
- Monitor Workday platform performance and recommend improvements for system optimization.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of the Workday Security Framework, including security groups, domains, and role‑based access controls.
- Ensure system configurations align with organizational data security and compliance standards.
- Participate in Workday release cycles, including reviewing new features, impact analysis, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Work closely with the Workday Architect to design, implement, and optimize technical solutions across the platform.
- Serve as a technical subject‑matter expert for Workday development.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Workday analysts, developers, and functional teams.
- Collaborate with HCM, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements and enhancements.
- Assist with technical documentation, system architecture discussions, and platform strategy.
